#9 Trapped

For this piece of work, I used a lot of lines to create a dynamic conflict reflecting the role of gender in domestic violence issues. This man is exhausted and trapped from all these elements that represent female power, but in a abusive way. I would like to express the idea that domestic violence can happen to anyone regardless of their gender role. It was a bit challenging at the beginning for me to figure out how to use simple lines to make this picture seem finished, and I would refine the details of the background lines.

I would like to show how the girls is restricted by the society and displays a sense of duality in her personality. She is trying to escape for her current situation and battle against the evil herself that was gradually developed, and all she could do is to break herself into pieces and rewind to achieve further individual developments. I was pretty satisfied with how the linework turned out and would like to improve the texture of her hair if chances given.
